Our Board of Directors is comprised of GCU members who volunteer their managerial and financial expertise to guide the direction and mission of the credit union. Board Directors are elected by their fellow members for this three-year volunteer opportunity, and we have two Director positions up for election this year!
These positions are open to all qualifying members. To be a qualifying member and candidate for a Director position, you must:
- Be a GCU member for at least a year
- Be in good standing* at the credit union and eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting
- Have at least $5 in a savings account in your name, individually, or be the first named person of a joint account
- Pass a bondability and background check

Our Nominating Committee will review applications and meet with potential candidates by the end of May. Elections will be held at the Annual Member Meeting on June 22, 2017 (2:00PM).
2017 DIRECTOR ELECTION
Leonard J. Cox // Incumbent
Mr. Cox is Vice President of Bearings Incorporated. He began his career at Bearings in January 1985 and has held positions that include inside sales, outside sales, and Sales Manager. Prior to his career at Bearings, Mr. Cox was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps beginning in October 1981. As a Marine, Mr. Cox completed basic infantry training and carried out duties relating to his Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) of Supply Chain Management #3043 until he was honorably discharged in August 1984.
Mr. Cox’s heart for service and volunteerism continued throughout many aspects of his life. He served the Cedarburg community for 13 years as an Auxiliary Policeman, rising to the rank of Captain. In addition to his recent appointment to GCU’s Board of Directors,Mr. Cox has served in several capacities on the Board of Elders at his church.
Bill LaTour // Incumbent
Mr. LaTour earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin –Oshkosh and has served on GCU’s Board of Directors since 2002. He is also the former owner of L&L Metal Finishing, a plating shop that he founded 22 years ago that services machine shops and OEM’s with coated and plated parts.Prior to owning his own business, Mr. LaTour held various positions in the manufacturing industry, including that of a Purchasing Manager. Through his work experience Mr. LaTour has developed expertise in the areas of accounting, finance,financial statement analysis, human resources, customer relations, vendor selection,sales, and corporate governance.
During his time with GCU, Mr. LaTour has held the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman.He particularly enjoys guiding GCU staff to successfully confront issues associated with changing economic conditions and competition.
Kamonti McFarlane // Candidate
Ms. McFarlane is the owner of restaurant, Likkle Jamayka, and is also a registered dental hygienist. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Marquette University and offers well-rounded experience in the financial services industry. She was both employed as a Work Coordinator for U.S. Bank for four years and has been a credit union member for 15 years. In addition to being a leader and self-starter, Ms. McFarlane is highly detail-oriented and enjoys budgeting and planning.
Gerald Glazer // Candidate
Mr. Glazer earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Chicago and his Master of Science Degree from Northwestern University. Mr. Glazer has interests in banking and mathematics, with a career history that includes experience as a Regional Claims Manager for MGIC and Cost Accountant for the Astronautics Corporation of America. Mr. Glazer is also a Real Estate Broker who has sold over $23 million of real estate since he was licensed in 1971.
*A member in good standing will have a positive account balance and be current on any GCU loan(s).
