At Guardian, we have a few easy ways for you to make a payment. Check out the options below and select the one that is most convenient for you!

In Person.

Stop into any Guardian Credit Union to make your payment by check, cash, credit card or debit card. We'll be glad to see you!

Transfer from a Guardian Account.

It's easy to transfer funds from your Guardian checking, savings, or money market account to make your loan payment. You can initiate each transfer individually and funds will be transferred instantly. Or set up recurring transfers to make the same payment amount on the same date every month. 

You can initiate transfers several different ways:

  • Log In to Guardian's online banking and go to Transfer Funds. Then select an account to make a One-Time Transfer or set up a Recurring Transfer. 
  • Call the Guardian Line at 800-941-1313 or (414) 856-9373.
  • Speak to a representative on our Member Service Line at 800-556-5154 or (414) 546-7450.

Transfer from an Account at another Financial Institution.

You can transfer funds from another financial institution to pay your GCU loan. First, set up the other financial institution in Online Banking by going to the "Transfer Center" and clicking on "Add Remote Account". After the account has been set up and verified, you can transfer fund to make payments in any amount and at any time. Transfers will be credited to your GCU Loan within 3 business days. Initial setup or Institution-to-Institution transfer will take longer. 

You can also set up a recurring transfer from another financial institution through ACH. Contact a Member Service Representative for further information about our recurring automatic payment form at (414) 546-7450 or in person at any GCU branch. 


As part of an effort to improve and modernize the U.S. payments system, you may have already noticed a change in the times during theday that we apply electronic Direct Deposits to your account. This change was made to help provide you with faster access to funds for same-day Direct Deposits to your account. Beginning on Friday September 15, 2017, we also will change the times that we apply certain electronic debit payments to our account.

Many merchants and billing companies may offer you the option to make a same-day electronic payment, such as to pay a bill or to transfer funds. If you agree, then the funds might be debited from your account as soon as that very same day. For example, if you have a bill due on the 25thof the month, the billing company might allow you to call or use its website on the morning of the 25th to make an on-time payment. Your funds will then be debited from your account on the 25th. While these types of payments won’t be reflected on your account balance as quickly as your debit card and ATM transactions, you will have access to more accurate information about your actual available account balance more frequently throughout the business day. 

Online Bill Payment.

You can pay virtually anyone from anywhere. Enter your payee's information and we will determine if they can accept electronic payments from our system. If not, a paper check will be mailed. You can make one-time payments or set recurring payments. We can even help you remember when you bills are due with email reminders if needed. To learn more about this feature click the link below.
