Donation Request Guidelines

Guardian Credit Union is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Each year we receive many requests to support local organizations and events through donations and sponsorships. We are happy to be able to contribute to as many of these causes as we do. To ensure consistency, ease and fairness in decision making, we have implemented the following guidelines and request process. Guardian Credit Union reserves the right to consider each request on a case-by-case basis.

Donation of funds and sponsorships
Guardian Credit Union will only provide financial support of non-profit organizations benefiting the community within our membership area. A contribution is typically used for the benefit of one of the following:

• Education
• Financial literacy
• Veterans/military initiatives
• Youth activities
• Law enforcement community initiatives
• Special community programs

Guardian Credit Union does not consider donation requests from:

• Individuals
• Religious groups
• Political parties, candidates or causes
• Governmental organizations

Making a request
All donation and sponsorship requests must be submitted, with a Guardian Credit Union Donation Request Form, at least 30 days in advance of the donation/sponsorship deadline. Requests will be evaluated in the final week of each month. A decision to deny a request does not imply that the program is not needed or worthy, but simply that it does not fall within our giving guidelines, priorities or that funds are not available.

Donation and sponsorship limits
Maximum of $500 per request. Average donations and sponsorships will be between $100 and $300.
