Committed to the Community

Our employees are committed to making a difference, not only for our members, but for the surrounding community. We work hard to support others through a variety of initiatives like our Guardian Cares program, our Seasons of Giving campaign, our Dollars for Scholars scholarships, and other opportunities.

Charitable Contributions

Guardian Credit Union is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. If you are interested in requesting a donation or sponsorship, please review our Donation Request Guidelines and submit a request form.

Guardian Cares

Launched in 2012, the Guardian Cares program was established to raise funds for a local charity, during the summer months, through the donations of our members and staff. Guardian Cares facilitates community involvement for our members, while allowing us to help worthy causes.

Each year, the benefiting charity is selected by Guardian staff. Funds are raised through a variety of initiatives, including the sale of unique GCU items.

Seasons of Giving

Each year, during the holiday season, the Guardian community comes together to help us help our own deserving members and their families. Our Seasons of Giving campaign has made it possible for us to help several families each year with gifts of food, coats, boots, toys and other items they otherwise could not afford during the holidays.

In exchange for our members’ generous donations, Guardian offers exclusive GCU items.

Guardian Fund

Donations are made to the Guardian Fund by employees who participate in various spirit wear days. Guardian employees then vote each year on the charity or charities to which funds will be donated.

Dollars for Scholars Scholarships

Through our Dollars for Scholars Scholarships, each year we provide scholarship assistance to at least four students who will be attending a two-year or four-year college or technical school. These scholarships are exclusively funded by contributions from our employees.
